Šibenik region is paradise for all kinds of tourists. Whether you are travelling with kids, admiring history or nature or you just prefer to lay on the beach you will find what suits you the best. In Šibenik is an absolute must see historical centre and Cathedral of St Jacob. You should also visit Fortresses – three of them are directly in the city, fourth is in the sea in front of Jadrija. Check out the information about boat schedule and tickets.

For those who admire beauty of nature, there are two National Parks in the region – National Park Krka and National Park Kornati. First one is famous due to its waterfalls which you may have seen in old Vinnetou Movies. However, besides waterfalls you should definitely visit also Island of Visovac, small island in the middle of Lake Visovac. The Franciscan Monastery of Our Lady of Mercy, and the Church of Our Lady of Visovac, have stood here since 1445. 

There is one more lake in the region which you should add to your list. Vransko Jezero is the biggest lake in Croatia and it is home of numerous species of plants and animals.

You should definitely add on your list city of Primošten. Besides extraordinary long beach and historic city center you should visit the statue of Our Lady Of Loretto. It offers beautiful views of Šibenik, Rogoznica, Kornati islands, Hvar etc.

It is well known that Croatia does not offer many sandy beaches as we know from other European countries. However, if you would like to visit one, you do not need to travel far from Jadrija. There is one on island of Murter, called Slanica. You will be surprised by its crystal clear water, although we recommend to visit outside high season to avoid crowds.
